SeaMor also runs dolphin and wildlife watching boat trips out of Aberaeron. Our trips head down the beautiful Ceredigion Heritage coastline into well known dolphin feeding areas of Llanina Reef and New Quay Bay, past secluded little bays and waterfalls. No trip is the same, and although we cannot guarantee dolphin sightings, we typically see a whole variety of seabirds, including guillemots, razorbills, fulmars, and gannets. We also see choughs and peregrines along the high cliffs, with seals hauled out on the rocks at a few points. We also occasionally get to see the shy harbour porpoise. The crew will help you spot and identify the different species we see, and will deploy the underwater microphone (hydrophone) whenever we encounter the dolphins and porpoise. The trip times vary from Aberaeron as it is a tidal harbour with restricted access. Our trip times can be found on our facebook page or at the Tourist Office in Aberaeron. Alternatively, you can call us to find out. Typical trips last 1 hour, and costs £20 for adults and £10 for children. Trips are weather dependant, and we can only carry 12, so pre booking is required. Please bring warm suitable clothing, we supply full waterproofs, however, you can bring your own. Dogs and prams are welcome, but please explain at the time of booking.
